All passengers 12 years and over on flights to/from the UK and Ireland must provide a suitable official photographic document to prove their identity before travel. The name on the photographic identification document must match the passenger's name exactly. Examples of suitable documents are:
- A valid passport
- To/From UK flights only - an expired passport can be used up to 2 years after date of expiry
- Photographic driving licence (Full or Provisional are accepted)
- Photographic EU or Swiss national identity card
- Armed forces identity card
- Police warrant card/badge
- Citizen Card
- Valid photographic bus pass
- Airport or crew security pass
